The Private Sector Federation is a professional organization, dedicated to promote and
represent the interests of the Rwandan Business Community. It is the umbrella organization and voice of the private sector.

The Private Sector Federation is a key role player in enabling the Private Sector to respond to Rwanda’s vision for its future.

Over the years, the Federation has rolled out a number of exciting private sectors in the
fields of capacity building, entrepreneurship and business growth, trade promotion etc.

exciting team at PSF to Head the Entrepreneurship Development functions.

Role Purpose:

The Head of Entrepreneurship Development and Collective Investments will be
responsible for supporting and empowering private sector in the field of entrepreneurship,
to grow their enterprises, develop their businesses and create jobs for the benefit of their
communities. He/she will provide high quality business training, mentoring and technical
assistance to develop the entrepreneurship culture in the private sector community.

Key areas of responsibility
Among other duties, he /she shall perform the following:
- Initiate and Manage entrepreneurship and investment programs,
- Develop strategies to improve entrepreneurial culture,
Initiate and coordinate events, promote entrepreneurial activities,
- Coordinate the provision of Business development services and technical assistance to
SMEs and create an effective linkages system to provide required expertise.
- Create and promote a full understanding of the Investment and Entrepreneurship
Development program goals, philosophy, plans and methods amongst the PSF
constituency (Chambers, associations, districts and province).
- Coach and transfer to staff of different PSF constituencies, specific entrepreneurship
skills as identified and tailored to each of those staff to be able to promote
entrepreneurship in their area. This could be through training, study tours, mentoring,
coaching among other means.
- Initiate, organize, mobilize and coordinate business community to participate in study
tours with the aim of creating an entrepreneurship culture.
- Initiate and Coordinate all trainings, workshops, seminars and events related to
entrepreneurship.
- Other duties assigned by supervisors

Interested candidates must fulfil the following requirements:
- Minimum of a Bachelors Degree in relevant Entrepreneurship, Economics, and
Business Management studied from an accredited university. A Master degree in the
related discipline is an added advantage.
- At least 3 years of working experience in a related field. A minimum of 2 years of
practical experience working in entrepreneurship development field.
- Clear understanding of the mission of the organization, taking initiative and
consistently, working to promote achievement of its goals.
- Proven track record of managing multiple staff and multiple projects/programs with
minimal supervision, on time and on budget.
- Proven research skills and ability to make recommendations based on best practices
for financial investments in small, medium and large Rwandan enterprises.
- Ability to work in team and collaborate with institutions of different nature.
- Demonstrated understanding of project management best practices, including
planning, budgeting, issue management, stakeholder management, and more.
- An ability to write clear and concise memos, concept notes, reports and position
papers.
- Ability to prioritize works and delivers high-quality results within very tight timelines.
- Must be a self-starter highly motivated, hardworking, innovative and proactive
individual.
- Proven oral and communication skills.
- Strong computer skills.
